An interactive map showing the height of DC's urban canopy at 1 m resolution, based on a project by the World Resources Institute and Meta that uses satellite photos and an algorithm to estimate the canopy height of the entire planet at high resolution.

Toggle the layers on an off using the panel at the left. Click on each Single Member District to get the SMD name and the average canopy height for that SMD. When the DC Canopy Height layer is toggled, you can also click on any spot in DC to see the estimated canopy height in meters for that specific location.

Use the Search bar to search for individual SMDs, or type the number and first letter (e.g. "5B" "6A", etc.) to filter the results to just each Advisory Neighborhood Commission.
